Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of MEAN Stack Development to lead and grow our talented team of developers. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality web applications using the MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular/React, Node.js) stack. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, team management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. The Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Strong Technical Skills:

Proficiency in the MEAN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) and related technologies. Also should also be familiar with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server, cloud deployment skills, particularly with EC2, S3, ECS etc.

 

  • Team Leadership and Management:
  1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of MEAN Stack developers, fostering their professional growth and technical expertise.
  2. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development opportunities.
  3. Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent within the MEAN Stack development domain.
  4. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
  5. Delegate tasks effectively, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance.
  6. Address team conflicts and provide effective resolutions.
  • Project Management and Delivery:
  1. Plan, organize, and manage the execution of MEAN Stack development projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  2. Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  3. Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  4. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  5. Ensure the quality and stability of delivered software through effective testing and code reviews.
  6. Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders regularly.
  • Technical Leadership and Guidance:
  1. Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team on MEAN Stack technologies and best practices.
  2. Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and robust web applications.
  3. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in MEAN Stack technologies and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
  4. Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance through code reviews and adherence to coding standards.
  5. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Process Improvement and Innovation:
  1. Identify and implement opportunities to improve development processes, workflows, and tools.
  2. Promote the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices within the team.
  3. Encourage innovation and the exploration of new technologies and approaches.
  4. Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  1. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, design, QA, and DevOps.
  2. Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  3. Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide technical insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience of more than 12 years overall and around 2-4 years in the Management role. Candidate with product development/management experience will be preferred over services experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on the MEAN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular/React, Node.js).
  • 12+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role, leading and mentoring development teams.
  • Deep understanding of JavaScript, both client-side and server-side.
  • Proven experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (Angular, React, Vue.js).
  • Strong experience with Node.js and Express.js for building robust backend APIs.
  • Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization & SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Cypress).
  • Should have at least a product in the Production and must have handled the post production scenarios.
  • Client facing experience will be of value and any onsite experience will also be useful.
  • Must have passed through the Technical ladder ( either as Technical Lead or Technical Architect role to become a Manager. Must have at least 4+ years of experience in the Technical Lead/Architect role before the Management role.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Java/Javascript programming training/experience
  • Experience includes being involved with 2 or more SailPoint Identity Access Management Implementations as a Developer/Engineer or Architect
  • Very good technical skills across a variety of technologies such as multi-tiered architecture, databases, and LDAP.
  • Must have a background of on-boarding application into the SailPoint IIQ
  • Experience creating custom workflows and forms with Java for SailPoint Identity IIQ
  • Excellent communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Extensive experience in SailPoint IIQ LCM and Connector implementation.
  • Assist in preparing project plans using project management tools
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in comprehensive manner (i.e., translate and present technical information to business);
  • Experience with Identity IQ Administration and Implementation.
  • Develop or contribute to technical project plans with regular tracking and reporting.
  • Strong IAM domain knowledge
  • Develop a customized solution for Certification or Access review campaign
  • Develop and execute test cases and test plans for SailPoint solutions
  • Develop technical project plans and aid in project resourcing.
