Job Role:

• DB Lead / SSIS specialist

Responsibilities:

• Strong on Advanced SQL queries and troubleshooting
• Optimize database systems for performance efficiency.
• Perform space management and capacity planning for database systems.
• Identify any issues related to query performance and provide corrective measures.
• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures , views and triggers to support application development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve the DB related issues (queries, functions, views, procedures, joins etc..)
• Work with application team and train them on Advanced SQL query skills
• Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects.
• Design, develop and implement database systems based on project/product/application requirements.
• Develop database Schema, tables and dictionaries as needed.
• Perform data back-up and archival on regular basis.
• Test databases and perform bug fixes.
• Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion.
• Designing and developing SSIS / SQL ETL solutions to acquire and prepare data from numerous upstream systems for processing by QRM
• Builds data transformations with SSIS including importing data from files, moving data from one database platform to another
• Debug and tune SSIS or other ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient movement of data
• Design, implement and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes, ) and database security
• Experience working with SSIS packages
• Proficient with ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS
• Develop security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage.
• Evaluate existing database and recommend improvements for performance efficiency. Develop best practices for database design and development activities.
• Quality assurance through code reviews, setting coding standards and driving continual improvement activities
• Provide oversight and architectural guidance to a team
• Leadership and Mentoring – department and peers
• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills take initiative to drive projects to successful conclusion
• Experience of working in an agile project execution methodology
• Good to Have : Experience using bulk loading methods on MS-SQL , Oracle databases, SSIS

Primary Skills:

• MS SQL Server DB Specialization / SSIS packages

Secondary Skills:

• Exposure to other Databases as as SQL Server, MySQL, DB2 etc..

Years of Exp:

• 10 - 15 Years
